JAMMU: MLC Charanjeet Singh Khalsa on Monday nominated Komalpreet Kour as new President of J&K Sikh Council here at Gurdwara Sahib Beli Charana.
Daughter of former President J&K Sikh Council late Harmohinder Singh, Komalpreet sought people’s support in fulfilling her father’s dream of serving the society. Harsis Singh Media Advisor, Joginder Singh, Surinder Singh, Manjeet Singh and other members were also present. Meanwhile, Charanjeet Singh Khalsa also inaugurated lanes and drains here at Upper Gadigarh out of his Constituency Development Fund. The estimated cost of the work is Rs. 6.61 lakh. The upgradation of lanes and drains was the long pending demand of people of the area. Speaking on the occasion, Charanjeet Singh Khalsa said that BJP is committed to overall development of the region and will soon take up other pending demands of the locality. Makhan Singh, Jatinder Singh, Dr. Happy and others were also present.
