KATHUA: The school playground of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua was filled with great zeal, excitement and as the school celebrated Children’s Day and sports extravaganza. The guests were RTO Kathua Amarjeet Singh, Kamaljeet Kour and Sonakshi. The Chairperson of the School, Harpreet Singh, Principal, Shuchita Gupta, Administrator, Govindram Sharma also graced the occasion. Principal, Shuchita Gupta told the students about the importance of the games and sports in our life and also paid tribute to the Pt. Jawahar lal Nehru. She added that winning and losing is not the criteria, participation is must in every aspect of life.
Beside this, students also took part in many sports activities. They also spoke about Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru.
The Chief Guest applauded the school management and the staff for their efforts in drawing out the best of the child. He motivated the students to take active participation in sports along with the academics.
At the end of the celebration the Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the students.
For the Pre-Nur class Bhanu, Raghavi and Divit bagged first, second and third prizes respectively in 50 mtrs race and Ayushi, Navneet and Annu bagged first, second and third prizes respectively in frog race. For Nursery class, Radhan, Sehajpreet and Rakshit bagged first, second and third prizes respectively in jumping race; Aaryan, Aarav and Kaushik won first, second and third prizes respectively in chocolate race; Harsh, Puniksha and Harjaap stood first, second and third respectively in ball bucket race; Aarav, Kanav and Ibhan bagged first, second and third respectively in running.
For Prep class Rafiq and Arushi, Jayant and Kayna, Vivan, Danish, Raghavi, Harshita bagged first, second and third prizes respectively in Bindi Race; Divansh, Rehan and Rakshan bagged first, second and third prizes respectively in packing of bags and Ansh Anand, Janvi and Sarthak bagged first, second and third prizes respectively in Banana Race.
For class 1st, Samiksha, Jaskirat and Hardik bagged first, second and third prizes respectively in Lemon and Spoon Race; Divyanshi and Paranavdeep, Pranya and Amiya, Tayyab and Deepanshu bagged first, second and third prizes respectively in Banana Race.
For class 2nd Sarthak, Niharika and Karsakaya grabbed first. Second and third prizes respectively in sack race; Mannit, Palak and Vishal bagged first. Second and third prizes respectively in book balance race.
For class 3rd Gaurav and Vansh, Saksham and Shubam, Shiv and Harshvardhan bagged first, second and third prizes respectively in three leg race.
For class 4th in which Devansh, Nandita and Bhakti bagged first, second and third prizes respectively in one leg race. 100 Mtrs Race was organized for class 5th students (Boys) in which Vipul, Kartik and Harshvardhan bagged first, second and third prizes respectively while in (Girls) Nitika, Ridhima and Ridham won firsr, second and third prizes respectively.
Relay Race was also held for all the students house wise in which Harmony, Passion and Optimism House got first, second and third positions respectively.
The students also participated in the various matches held in the school premises like Kabbadi Match in which the winning Team was Team B (Tanishq, Chirag, Harshvardhan, Jatin, Adarsh, Vansh, Anan, Kartik and Tikshan). Other than that there was Badminton Match in which Aditi (7th), Tryambika (6th) and Aditi (6th) got first, second and third prizes respectively.
Volleyball match was organized in three matches between Team A and Team B, out of which Team B (Himanshu, Adarsh, Tanishq, Anmol, Irfan and Vansh) was the winner. The vote of thanks was presented by Harpreet Singh.
