JKHCBA condemns ADM for confining Adv Arvind

JAMMU: The work in all the courts of Jammu including the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir remained suspended as a mark of protest against the high handedness of Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Kathua.
The members of J&K High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA), in a meeting, unanimously condemned the illegal action of the ADM, Kathua for wrongfully confining Arvind Kumar Gupta, a senior member of the Kathua Bar Association, for more than two hours.
The members further condemned the misbehaviour of the ADM with the other members of the Bar Association Kathua who tried to intervene and pacify the situation.
The Association also extended its full support to the Kathua Bar Association.
The meeting was attended by office bearers of J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu, M.K Bhardwaj (President), Sindhu Sharma (Vice-President), Ranjit S. Jamwal (General Secretary), Prem Sadotra (Joint Secretary), Gurveer Singh (Cashier) and members of the Young Lawyer Association.
