JAMMU: Jammu Kashmir Government Employees and Workers Federation (JKGE-WF) to hold a protest in front of the Divisional Commissioner Jammu at Bahu Plaza on 8th November 2016 at 11:00 AM.
“Federation on the call given by J&K government employees, casual labourers, workers and pensioners united platform to organize a Dharna on 8th November,” Kulwant Singh, one of the members of the Federation told reporters here on Thursday. He highlighted various issues confronting the employees and showed the anguish that the employees suffering due to price hike in commodities while the legislature are busy in enhancing and doubling their own salaries. He made an appeal to the government employees and casual labourers to participate in the protest in a large number to pressurize the government for fulfillment of their demands. They demanded to frame policy for regularization of casual labourers, implement 7th pay commission, remove pay anomalies in various cadres and release interim relief at the rate of 10 per cent immediately in favour of employees. Other present in the press conference were Shahid Hussain, Subash Chander, K.S Samyal, Paramjit Singh, Suresh Kumar Aslam Khan, Lekh Raj Khajuria, Rajinder Singh, Kailash Patti, Ram Paul, Hardat Sharma, Ranjit Singh, Pritam Singh, Parminder Singh and Manzoor Ali.
