JKCA gives SG boots to pacer as noble gesture

JAMMU: Based on the recommendations of Ashwani Gupta, Tournament Incharge of the ongoing Talent Hunt 2022, a pair of SG boots was presented to a deserving cricketer from a remote village of Magani in district Udhampur, who is part of JKCA’s U-23 Tournament.
Raghav, a right-arm medium pacer selected for Under-23 One-Day Tournament, reported for the nets in ‘sleepers’ and when asked as to why he did not wore a shoe, he said that he belongs to a very poor family and his father, Kartar Chand works as a daily wager and can’t afford him to buy the sports shoes, what to talk of a spiked boot.
On behalf of the Sub Committee, Brig Anil Gupta, Member-Administration JKCA presented Raghav SG boots to enable him participate in the U-23 One-Day Tournament.
It is pertinent to mention here that Raghav got the selectors nod while participating in the Talent Hunt 2022 trials held for the districts of Udhampur and Reasi at SMVD Sports Complex, Katra recently.
