JK Public School Panjtirthi celebrates International Youth Day

JAMMU: Together we can harness the potential of the youth to steer humanity towards positive change, innovation, and progress. The celebration of the International Youth Day, with the theme of “Green Skills for Youth-Towards a Sustainable World ” was organised at JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi. The event highlighted the role of young people in coming together to amplify engagement and leadership in all areas of decision making and action, especially in creating an environmentally sustainable and climate friendly world. Anju Sharma, the Incharge remarked, “Youth must be at the forefront of obtaining green skills for the future as they can contribute to a green transition for a longer period of time.” The Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi Suman Banbah expressed, “This day not only celebrates the remarkable energy, ideas, and aspirations of young individuals worldwide but also underscores their pivotal role in shaping a more inclusive, sustainable, and equitable future.” She added, “The occasion is intended to raise awareness and drive action on a range of issues affecting youth globally”. Jakiians presented a skit to highlight that International youth day offers a platform for governments, organizations, and individuals to collaborate and plan on strategies for empowering youth, enhancing their access to education, healthcare, and encouraging their involvement in tackling challenges like unemployment, poverty, and inequality that often impact young individuals disproportionately.
