Gool: For providing access to social protection schemes interface workshop between unprivileged communities and Govt. duty bearers was held at Govt. Higher Secondary School Gool. National Development Foundation (NDF) organised the workshop in partnership with Save the Children with support from European Union.
Ajaz Ahmed Khan MLA Gool was the Chief Guest during the programme. Others present during the programme include Rajiv Khajuria CEO NDF, Chief Education Officer Ramban, SDPO Gool, Tehsildar Gool, Block Development Officer Gool, Block Development Officer Sangaldan, Block Medical Officer Gool, Principal Hr. Sec. School Gool, ZEO Gool, Ex. MLA Gool, members of block level child protection committees, members of child protection committees, members of children groups and community members from various villages of Gool. Manzoor Ahmed Tragwal acted as stage secretary during the programme.
Rajiv Khajuria CEO NDF briefed the audience about various activities of NDF in block Gool for strengthening child protection mechanisms and promotion of child rights.
Chief Education Officer Ramban, Block Medical Officer Gool and Block Development Officer Gool also spoke on the occasion. Members of Block Child Protection Committee also presented a memorandum of demands to MLA Gool.
MLA Gool, CEO Ramban and other officers also interacted with the representatives of various children groups wherein the children informed the officials about various problems faced by them including shortage of staff, shortage of rooms, lack of drinking water, non functional toilets, inaccessible roads to schools, shortage of classrooms, unsafe buildings, lack of science laboratories etc.
The programmes were facilitated by Parvinder Singh Programme Manager NDF, Sunny Kumar PC NDF, Retish Suri PC NDF and other team members.
