JAMMU: Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Channi Himmat shall be playing against Army Public School (APS) Cantonment in the final of inter-school zone level under-19 boys’ kabaddi tournament of Gandhi Nagar zone, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Government High School Jammu Cantonment, here tomorrow.
Earlier, in the semifinals, played on Wednesday, HSS Channi Himmat defeated HSS Pallain Mandal 32-22 while APS Cantonment trounced St. Peters 28-17. Other Results: Preliminary Round: APS Cantonment beat HSS Gandhi Nagar 35-14; St. Peters defeated HSS Bhour Camp 18-07;HSS Channi Himmat trounced HSS Surinsar.
VOLLEYBALL: Meanwhile, in under-19 boys’ volleyball competition, preliminary round of the competition took place today. The Results: HSS Channi beat KV Public School 2-0 (25-19, 25-13); HSS Sunjwan blanked Coperative HSS 2-0 (25-13, 25-11); St. Peters trounced APS 2-1 (25-18, 26-24, 16-14); JK Public School outplayed HSS Bhour Camp 2-0 (25-19, 25-19); HSS Gandhi Nagar downed HSS Channi 2-1 (17-25, 25-20, 15-08); HSS Sunjwan thrashed HSS Surinsar 2-1 (25-14, 18-25, 15-07).
