Govt played joke with retired police men: Forum

JAMMU: All J and K Retired Police Personnel Forum has condemned the Government Order No. 229-F of 2014 of 17-10-2014 and alleged that Govt has played a joke with the retired police men.
A large number of retired police personnel on Friday held a protest under Forum President, Ajit Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajit alleged that order issued by the Govt on October 17 is highly condemnable. He said it has been issued in clear violation of the High Court orders SWP No. 277/2009. This order provides no relief to the police persons who have been fighting this case since 1996 up to now. Many of them have retired. He alleged that Govt played a cruel joke and made mockery of the retiree policemen.
Ajit stated that the government has totally failed to come on the expectations of the local masses.
Ajit Singh warned the government to provide pay anomaly benefit to the retired persons otherwise they will intensify their protest and come on streets.
Mohammad Maqsood, Hari Singh, Sham Sunder, Avtar Singh, Harbans Lal, Mohd. Sharif, Hoshnak Chand, Zakir Hussain, Sham Sunder, Yog Raj Sharma, Bopinder Singh, Mohammad Shagir, Ramnik Singh, Bhaghal Singh, Trilok Singh, Ranjeet Singh, Mohinder Singh, Madan Lal, Rattan Lal, Bihari Lal, Kirpal Singh, Balwant Singh, Ashok Kumar, Makhan Singh, Sham Lal Sharma, Hardev Singh, Manjeet Singh, Gurdev Singh, Raghuvir Singh and Jagdish Lal were also present.
