POONCH: Glamorous Cricket Club on Sunday lifted Second Shaheed Manjeet Singh Memorial T20 Cricket trophy, organised at Sports Stadium, here.
In the final, played today, Glamorous Club defeated LOC Club by 25 runs.
Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Glamorous set a target of 146 runs in allotted 20 overs. Sachin made highest 42 runs while Sahil contributed 40 runs.
For LOC, Firdos remained most successful bowler, who took three wickets while Aqib clinched two.
Later, LOC XI was bowled out for 121 runs in 19.5 overs. Asif and Yasir were top scorers with 34 and 31 runs in their respective accounts.
District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch, Mohd Hussain Malik was the Chief Guest and SSP Poonch was the Guest of Honour in the prize distribution ceremony who gave away trophy to winner and runner up teams.
Chief Guest appreciated the role of Chairman Shaheed Manjeet Singh Club, Mohammad Tariq for promoting sports in the district. He also assured Tariq for every support from the administration.
