REASI: Under the Central Sponsored Scheme, Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH), a group of 32 farmers was sent on an exposure cum training within the State.
The tour was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner Reasi Shabir Ahmad Bhat on Wednesday here in a function from Mini Secretariat Reasi.
The tour is being organised by Horticulture Department and the farmers will visit different regions of the State.
Major thrust of this visit shall remain on dissemination of technology, to know about modern scientific know and how and applied technology in horticulture sector.
DC Reasi appreciated the role of Horticulture Department in bringing out socio-economic change in the life of farmer community and stressed upon the farmers to take full advantage of such programmes. Chief Horticulture Officer Susheel K Angurana briefed DC about the programme and also interacted with the farmers.
