Eid-Milad-ul-Nabi celebrated with fervour

JAMMU: Anjuman Islah-ul-Muslimeen, Jammu in collaboration with Hajj and Auqaf Department on Monday organised a day long Seerat Conference to celebrate Eid-Milad-ul-Nabi here.
Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta and Minister of State for Hajj and Auqaf Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi were amongst the prominent participants in the conference.
Several Islamic scholars from different parts of the country deliberated on the teachings of Islam and Prophet Muhammad.
During the conference, the speakers highlighted the teachings and message of Prophet Muhammad, besides laying stress on promoting human values, love, mutual brotherhood, tolerance, peace and helping the needy and destitute. They emphasised on the universal acceptance and relevance of the teachings and message of Prophet Muhammad.
Speaker Kavinder Gupta extended his greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion and hoped that the occasion would be harbinger of harmony, peace, progress and prosperity in the
state. He called for promoting bonds of mutual brotherhood and true values of humanity.
He said such occasions provide an opportunity to the people to come closer and work for the development of the mankind and eradicating social evils from the society.
Andrabi, in his address, impressed upon the people to be united and follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad. “Prophet Muhammad’s each and every word shows us right path and gives the lesson of kindness, love, brotherhood and peace,” he added.
Vice-President, All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Dr Sayed Kalabe-e-Sadiq, Mufti and Khateeb Usmania Jamia Masjid Varanasi, Moulana Haroon Rashid Naqashbandi, Maulana Hamid-Ullah Khandypura from Kulgam, Maulana Syed Ahmed Habib Naib Mohtamim Jamia Ziaul-Uloom from Poonch and Hazrat Maulana Rehmatullah Nazim Darul-Uloom Rahimia from Bandipura were among the speakers who threw light on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
