JAMMU: Police on Thursday arrested a drug peddler along with 12 grams heroin under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ from Kunjwani Chowk area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gangyal Police Station. As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Gangyal Police Station laid a naka at Kunjwani Chowk and intercepted a person, who was coming from Bari Brahmana and tried to escape. During checking, police recovered 12 grams heroin from the possession of the man and arrested him on the spot. A case under relevant section of law has been registered at Gangyal police station and investigation started.
