Dhaba owner among two held with 62 pouches of liquor

R S PURA: Police on Wednesday arrested two persons including a Dhaba owner and recovered 62 pouches of liquor from their possession.
According to a report, SDPO R S Pura Surinder Singh Choudhary conducted a raid in Dhaba at Ward No. 4, Simbal Camp and apprehended one Rajinder Singh alias Vicky son of Balwant Singh resident of Ward No. 4, Simbal Camp who was openly selling J and K Excise liquor pouches in his Dhaba to earn illegitimate profit.
During search of the Dhaba, 12 pouches of liquor were recovered. The customers present in the Dhaba and its surrounding fled away on seeing the police. The accused was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 106/2017 under section 48-A Excise Act was registered against him at Police Station Miran Sahib.
Meanwhile, a party of Police Station Reasi led by ASI Jagdish Singh during patrolling duty at Bus Stand Reasi area, recovered 50 pouches of J and K Excise liquor from the possession of Vivek Kumar alias Pittu son of Romesh Singh resident of Aghar Jitto Tehsil Katra district Reasi who was on way from Reasi towards Aghar Jitto for illegal sale of liquor at his native village. The accused person was arrested, recovered liquor has also been seized and a case vide FIR No. 151/2017 under section 48-(A) J and K Excise Act was registered at Police Station Reasi.
