KATHUA: J and K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organised multilingual Mushiara in a silver jubilee function of Sab Ras Sahitya Sangam, Kathua on the occasion of its 25th celebrations. Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Chief Executive Officer , Lakhanpur-Sarthal Development Authority was the Chief Guest while Manohar Singh renowned Urdu poet presided the function. Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary J and K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Kasour Verma were also present in the presidium.
While delivering his presidential address, Manhor Singh appreciated the cultural Academy and also thanked for organising this multilingual Mushiara on the occasion of 25th celebrations of Sab Ras Sahitya Sangam today here at Kathua. He also complimented the poet who participated in this multilingual mushira.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan while speaking on the occasion said that the poet depicts depth of the mindset of the society through the medium of their creativity and also requested all to follow the massages of the poet of the respective regions. He also applauded J and K Cultural Academy and said that since last few months J and K Cultural Academy has accelerated the pace of Academy activities in all Districts of Jammu province.
In his welcome address, Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn highlighted the activities of the cultural Academy and also informed about the future activities . He also thanked all the participating poets.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Azra Choudhary editor Hindi and vote of thanks was presented by Kartar Verma.
The poets who recited their poetry include Manohar Singh (Urdu), T.R Sumbria (Dogri), Khajoor Singh (Dogri), R.S Katal (Punjabi), Pt. Naresh Kerni (Dogri), Dr. Guru Parshad (Hindi), B.K Shastri,( Hindi), Renu Padha (Dogri), Dharamveer (Hindi), Sudesh Kousar (Urdu), Saroj Bala( Hindi), Som Akela (Dogri), Dr. Param jeet (Hindi), Rakesh Lovely (Hindi) and Madan Lal Toofan (Punjabi).
