JAMMU: Hailing the surgical strikes by India on terror launch pads across the LoC, Ex-Central Para Military Force Welfare Association (CPMFWA) on Monday said the action was a “befitting reply” to Pakistan.
“The strikes by India have instilled confidence among soldiers and the common man,” R.L Dogra, President of the Association, told reporters here.
In response to the recent Uri attacks in Jammu and Kashmir by ‘Pakistani’ terrorists which left 20 Indian soldiers dead, the army conducted the strikes and killed 38 militants.
Dogra said the Central Government should not show any leniency towards Pakistan-sponsored terrorists and take stern action against Pakistan to deter him for conducting time and again suicidal attacks, unprovoked firing at the Indian defence locations and civil areas.
The participants also paid rich tributes to the Indian Army jawans martyred in the attack by the Pakistan-backed militants in Uri and BSF Constable Nitin Yadav who also laid down his life for nation.
They also observed two minutes silence for the peaceful rest of their souls.
Others present in the press conference were Ramesh Chand, Dy. Commandant SSB, Dr. Yash Pal Sharma, In-charge SSB, Som Nath Sharma, Vice President, Thoru Ram and Mohd Majid, General Secretaries, Netar Singh, Advisor, Surjeet Singh, President Akhnoor and Bodh Raj.
