JAMMU: 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu M.A Chowdhary rejected bail application Gautam Kumar alleged smuggler of Ganja from whom possession 2 kg Ganja was recovered by Narwal Police. Court after hearing APP Ajay Singh Manhas for the state observed that cases against drug peddlers indicate interstate drug rackets targeting school kids as well. The illicit drugs have a high addiction potential and there is gradual increase in their intake, getting the users dependent on these drugs both physically and psychologically. The compulsive drug seeking and use, on addiction, causes chronic, brain disease changing the brain, its structure and how it works. The deadly menace, a major problem of the society, requires to be checked through strengthening the reinforcement. With these observations court rejected bail application.
