Burglary gang busted, five held

UDHAMPUR: Police on Wednesday busted burglary in Udhampur and arrested five persons a gang of burglars involved in the commission of crime.
The burglars indentified as Deep Singh alias Deepu son of Avtar Singh resident of Bant Chenani, Rakesh Kumar alias Mohan Lal son of Luxman Dass resident of Meer Pancheri, Sushil Kumar alias Sunil son of Mohan Lal resident of Mongari Pancheri, Vicky son of Des Raj resident of Garrian Talab Udhampur and Sanju son of Kaka resident of Ramnagar at present Jail Road Udhampur were arrested by a team of Police Station Udhampur in connection with the series of burglaries 19th and 20th Sep 2014.
The arrests were made within 48 hours of the commission of the crime. There were four cases registered in the Police Station Udhampur under FIR No. 351/2014 U/S 457/380 RPC; 352/2014 U/S 457/380 RPC; 353/2014 U/S 379 RPC and 354/2014 U/S 457/380 RPC in which one cow, three motor cycles, readymade garments, cigarettes, mobile and cash Rs. 17,547 were stolen. All the goods and cash were recovered.
The arrests were made by SHO Police Station Udhampur Mahesh Sharma Inspector and Dy. SP Hqrs. Udhampur Gourav Mahajan under the overall supervision of SSP Udhampur Mohd Suleman Choudhary.
