UDHAMPUR: In order to create awareness about road safety among the vehicle operators and public in general, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Udhampur Kuldeep Singh organised an awareness camp here in Udhampur on Wednesday.
During awareness camp, ARTO made the vehicle operators aware about driving skill test cum road safety and to develop sense of responsibility of the road users.
He urged the people to obey traffic rules, to be a safe driver being a civilised citizen.
He disclosed that road accidents ate increasing day by day in the country and J&K State in particular.
Assistant Regional Transport Officer Udhampur further appealed to all the applicants for wearing seat belts while driving four wheelers and ensure wearing of crash helmets while driving two wheelers for their safety and driving their vehicles with in safe driving speed.
Singh further said that all parents should get their wards trained through a good driving institute for their safety on roads and also safety of other road users as well.
