JAMMU: Sant Baba Swarnjit Singh of Taposthan Gurudwara Manji Sahib, Una on Tuesday released a book on issues related to woes of PoJK refugees titled ‘JKMMPC Front Jammu’ authored by Chowdhary Dev Raj, President Basmati Rice Growers Association, RS Pura.
Ch. Dev Raj told reporters that book gave an account of the problems of refugees from PoJK including Mirpur, Muzaffrabad, Poonch and Chhamb.
“The book also unveils the difficulties of refugee children and youth on account of poverty”, he said adding that it also reflects that government has not taken appropriate steps to mitigate their sufferings. Babaji appreciated the efforts of Ch. Dev Raj in highlighting the problems being faced by this displaced community.
He appealed to the government for providing adequate relief to the affected people to bail out PoJK refugees from the sultry situation of pain and agony.
Sant Tejvant Singh Ji Danney Wale, Sachwant Singh (retd) Director, Dr. Padamdev Raina, Kirtan Singh, Ch Sohan Lal ex-Sarpanch, Dayal Singh Nambardar, Manjit Singh Jaat, Karanjeet Singh, Ashok Randhwa and Ashok Choudhary were also present in the book release function.
