SRINAGAR: As a part of intensified market checking in Srinagar City, Enforcement wing of CAPD Department, headed by Assistant Director conducted market inspections during last week.
The markets of Soiteng, Shalteng, Soura, Ahmad Nagar, Hyderpora, Sanat Nagar, Khonmoh, Zewan, Nowshera, Amda Kadal, Zadibal, Umer Colony, Nawab Bazar, Hawal, Lal Bazar, Bagat-i-Shoor etc. were inspected.
During the checking, the wing checked 325 business establishments and found 37 shopkeepers violating the provisions of essential Commodity Act 1955.
The team fined erring shopkeepers and realized over Rs 25,000 from them as fine.
