RAJOURI: Police on Monday arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest for the last eight years.
According to a report, acting on a specific information, a police party of Police Station Rajouri led by Inspr. Chaman Gorkha launched a manhunt in Saranoo area under the supervision of Dy. SP Hqrs. Abdul Hamid on the direction of SSP Rajouri Atul Sharma and arrested an absconder namely Abdul Qareem son of Bahadur Ali resident of Saranoo, Rajouri who was wanted in case FIR No. 552/2007 U/S 341,323 RPC registered at Police Station Rajouri. After hectic efforts, the Police Party succeeded in arresting the accused in Saranoo area.
The said accused was evading his arrest since 2007 and Trail Court had issued warrant of arrest under section 512 Cr.PC.
