POONCH: The fourth event of the ongoing J&K Sports Council (JKSC) Premier League started on Friday with Friends Club, Brother Club winning two matches each at Sports Stadium, here.
While Friends Club defeated Knight Riders and Bedar Club by identical margin of eight points, Brother Club trounced Star Club by one point and later outplayed Rising Super by six points.
In other scheduled matches, Bedar Club made it a four points win against Star Club and Knight Rider beat Rising Super Gaints by five points.
FOOTBALL: In football event, Purani Poonch and City FC won their respective matches. While Purani Poonch defeated Chandak FC 6-1, City FC outplayed Jhullas FC by two goals to nil.
Colonel Harish and Incharge district officer of DYSS, Mohd Qasim were special guests in today’s matches, who interacted and encouraged the teams and their officials. Prominent among others present were Molvi Fareed, Pawan Kumar, Narjeet Singh, Ravinder Singh, Davinder Singh and Pervaiz Ahmed Afridi.
The Poonch Premier League is being organized under the supervision of Incharge Sports Stadium, Nirdosh Kumar.
