RAMNAGAR: To discuss arrangements for smooth conduct of ensuing Shri Pingla Mata pilgrimage during coming Navratras starting from 25th September, a meeting of Tehsil Officers and Pingla Devi Management Committee members from village Pingers and Ramnagar was held here under the chairmanship of Sub- Divisional Magistrate, Dharinder Sharma.
Threadbare discussions were held on arrangements like drinking water, power supply, security, first-aid, transport and sanitation at the Shrine site and enroute .
SDM directed the officers concerned to put in their best efforts to ensure safe drinking water to pilgrims besides uninterrupted power supply. He also instructed officers of Health dept to deploy mobile staff with medicines at vintage points. The police would ensure security arrangements during Navratra days.
The Akhand Joyti would be lit on first day of Navratra at Pingla Devi Chabutra in heart of Ramnagar town and would be carried to Pingla Mata Darbar on 28th September, 2014 morning in a procession of devotees chanting religious hymns.
Various social and volunteer organisations will be holding free Langars besides Akahand Joyti Committee, Ramnagar would organise Navratra festival at Ramnagar this year.
Tehsildar, Ramnagar, Kavita Pandoh, all Teshil Officers and Pingla Devi Management Committee members were also present in the meeting.
