DODA: To provide loan assistance to the aspiring unemployed youth of the District under Centrally Sponsored Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), a second meeting of the District Level Task Force Committee was held on Wednesday at District Industries Centre Doda under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Doda Shyam Vinod Meena.
In all 36 candidates who had applied for the Financial Assistance under PMEGP Scheme at DIC Doda were interviewed / counselled and scrutinised, out of which 29 candidates were selected under the said scheme for setting up their income generating ventures.
The applications of these 29 candidates would be sponsored to the concerned banks for sanctioning the amount required as per the project report in due course of time.
DDC congratulated the selected candidates and enjoined upon them to grab the opportunity and avail benefits of the self employment schemes and establish their own income generating units and become job providers rather than job seekers.
General Manager DIC Doda Dil Mir Choudhary, Functional Manager DIC Doda Dr. Javaid , besides other members of the committee were present during the interview.
