DODA: Police on Friday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing 31 bovines and arresting three smugglers in Doda district.
According to a report, on a specific information, a party from Police Station Doda led by SHO Doda Raghubir Singh laid a Naka at Bharth area of Doda, after chasing the smugglers, rescued 31 bovines animals and arrested 3 smugglers.
The arrested bovine smugglers have been identified as Ayaz Ahmed Son Hussan Din Resident of Darchapra Bharat, Billal Ahmed Son of Nazir Ahmed Resident of Darpora, Anantnag and Mohammad Saleem Son of Ghulam Haider Resident of Barath Doda.
A case FIR No 232/2017 under section 188 RPC 3 PC Act was registered at Police Station Doda.
