Three houses gutted, two partially damaged in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR: With the rising number of fire incidences there is panic in Kishtwar since last 10 days. In the fresh incident of fire, three houses were gutted completely while two other were damaged partially in last night fire incident at Hidyal area of Distt-Kishtwar.
According to reports, the fire broke out in the house of one Jagdish Kumar at around 7:45 PM and spread over to other adjoining houses in which three houses belongs to Jagdish Kumar, Veer Singh and Satish Kumar while the house belongs to Prahalad Baghat and Gansham Shan were partially damaged.
As soon as the news of fire broke out, large number of youths including members of Muslim community immediately rush to the spot and joined Kishtwar police in rescue operation.
With the joint efforts of youths from both the community along with fire tender , Police and Red Cross volunteers help in averting major tragedy as the area is highly dense populated with many houses in cluster. All played key role in dozing the fire and prevented it from spreading to adjacent houses. However Police has Registered a case in this regard and started its investigation. If sources to be believed ,the cause of fire is due to leakage of LPG Cylinder.
