NAGROTA: Ten persons were injured on Thursday when a bus in which they were travelling turned turtle in Nagrota area on the outskirts of Jammu, police said.
According to a report, today morning at around 7:45 AM on the National Highway 44, a bus (JK 02 AC 2195) which was going to Katra from Jammu lost its balance and toppled towards one side of the road. Since the accident took place near to one of the army units rescue operation was launched immediately.
Army personnel from the unit rushed to the site, rescued the passengers which included eight men and two women and evacuated them to the nearest Army Medical Inspection Room for medication and further treatment from where they were referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital.
The toppled bus was also recovered with the help of army recovery vehicle.
A case has been registered in this regard and investigation is underway.
