KHANSAHIB: A daylong awareness and education programme was organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Budgam at Government Higher Secondary School, Khansahib. The programme was inaugurated by Sub Divisional Magistrate Khansahib, Aijaz Ahmad.
The programme was aimed at bringing about awareness among the youth about various programmes and schemes run by different departments for their benefit.
A large number of youth from Government Degree College Khansahib and Youth Club members of the block affiliated with Nehru Yuva Kendra Budgam, besides NYC volunteers participated in the programme.
During the daylong programme resource persons from JKEDI, District Employment and Carrier Counseling, Rural Development and Education departments delivered lectures on the occasion.
Sub Divisional Magistrate, Khansahib stressed upon the participated to work hard for their individual development as well as the development of the society so as to become productive citizens.
District Youth Coordinator Budgam, N.A Shah informed the participants about the programmes and activities run by the Nehru Yuva Kendra.
A symposium on “Role of youth in entrepreneurship development” was also conducted on the occasion in which the youth participants delivered lectures on the subject.
The Principal, Government Degree College, Khansahib, Prof G.Q Lone and Principal Higher Secondary School, Khansahib, Peerzada Khurshid Ahmad spoke on the occasion.
