7th Pay Commission: EJAC seeks formal order on arrears

JAMMU: Employees Joint Action Committee (K) expressed concern over the statement given by Finance Minister, Dr Hasseb Drabu, while presenting the State Budget, regarding implementation of Seventh Pay Commission from April 2018.
State President EJAC (K), Mustaq Ahmed Khan said that the Finance Minister has not specific mention about the arrears of two years, which has created confusion among the employees viz-a-viz the modus operandi. “It would have been expedient if the government had issued a formal order about the mode of payment of arrears accruing out of 7th Pay Commission giving it affect from April 2018 instead of waiting for one more budget of 2018-19,” he added.
In the meeting, the EJAC (K) also expressed its concern about removal of pay anomalies of Clerical Cadre which is pending since long and enhancement of the honorarium of Aanganwadi Workers and helpers who are clamouring hard for the redressal of their grievances.
At the conclusion, the EJAC (K) impressed upon the employees in general and the leadership in particular to remain steadfast and united for the welfare of the employees besides the employees were requested to improve work culture and maintain discipline.
Among others present in the meeting were include Balvinder Singh Provisional President, Nazir Ahmad Bhat State-Vice President, Dharminder Singh General Secretary, Ravi Singh Bhau Senior Vice-President Jammu, Umar Jan Provisional Secretary, Ravinder Singh Joint Secretary, Amreek Singh Sasan, Vipan Kumar Organiser, Farooq Ahmad Rather, Abdul Aziz, Surjeet Singh, Ranbir Singh, Amrik Singh Chib, Vijay Kumar Thusoo and Shiv Sharma.
