JAMMU: Singh Akhnoor Club and Simula XI registered wins against their rivals in the Fifth Eid Diwali Milan Cricket Cup being organized jointly by Simula Sports and Vishal Club at Parade Ground, here on Wednesday.
In first match of the day Singh Akhnoor XI defeated Khalsa XI by five wickets.
Batting first, Khalsa XI scored 130 runs in 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets. Nitin (33) and Shiva (21) were the main scorers. For Singh Akhnoor, Binny grabbed four wickets while Sham and Rajesh shared two each.
Singh Akhnoor XI, in reply, chased the target in last ball of the match for the loss of five wickets thus won the match by 5 wickets. Sunny played an inning of 49 runs followed by Kavi and Rahul, who made 33 and 19 runs respectively.
Sushant took two wickets while Harinder, Manmohit and Harpreet shared apiece for Khalsa Cricket XI. Sunny was declared Man of the Match.
In another match, Simula Club defeated ICC by five wickets. Batting first, ICC was bowled out for 87 runs in 19.3 overs. Deepak (24) and Suresh (11) were the main scorers. Kuldeep picked three wickets, Raman Dutta and Vikram Manhas shared two each and Shashi and Hardeep took one each for Simula Club.
