THANNAMANDI: Police on Tuesday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing 5 bovines and arresting a smuggler at Thanamandi.
As per the details , Rajouri Police led by SHO Police Station Thanamandi Inspr. Surinder Khadyal on a specific information laid Naka at Thanamandi. During Naka checking, police seized a TATA Mobile (JK11B-2152) and rescued five bovines which were on its way from Rajouri to Srinagar via Thanamandi-Mughal Road.
Police also arrested one bovine smuggler namely Javid Iqbal son of Mohd Hussain resident of Nadian, Darhal and registered a case vide FIR Nos.201/2016 under section 188 RPC, 3 PCA against him at Police Station Thanamandi.
