Four of family injured as 4 vehicles collide on NH 13 injured as matador turns turtle in Akhnoor

SAMBA/AKHNOOR: Four of a family received injuries when a Safrai coming from the wrong side collided with it resulting into further involvement of two other vehicles near Jakh in Vijaypur Area of district Samba on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway.
The mishap happened when a Safari (JK02AG-9200) on its way from Kathua to Jammu hit three other vehicles after crossing the divider from the wrong side.
The three vehicles include a school bus (JK21C-5623), a Scorpio (JK21A-6166) and an Ecco van (JK08E-7056) of which four occupants received injuries in the collision. All the injured were rushed to Government Emergency Hospital Vijaypur from where they were referred to GMC Jammu.
The injured were identified as Subhash Chander (42) residents of Saiswam Chadwal Kathua, his wife Shashi Kumari (40), his daughter Lakshita (11) and his son Govinda (8). Vijaypur police has registered the case in this regard for further investigation.
AKHNOOR: 13 passengers got injured on Tuesday when a matador turned turtle in Akhnoor. As per the details, One matador (6285/JK02Q) on way from Garghal to Akhnoor, on reaching near Parsoti turned turtle on the road, due to rash and negligent driving by the driver resulting in 13 passenger got injured. All the injured were shifted to SDH Akhnoor, from where five injured were further shifted to GMC Jammu for further treatment.
The injured were identified as Ashok Kumar son of Tunda Ram Singh resident of Sohal, Ambo Devi wife of Om Parkash resident of Barui, Rattan Lal son of Manga Ram resident of Barui, Sawarno Devi wife of Ashok Kumar resident of Sohal, Kamlesh Devi wife of Pradeep Kumar resident of Barui, Saruti Verma daughter of Suresh Kumar resident of Barui, Anju Devi wife of Suresh Kumar resident of Barui, Seema Devi wife of Late Ashok Kumar resident of Barui, Sikha Verma daughter of Chanchal Verma resident of Barui, Suman Devi wife of Tilak Raj resident of Barui, Kavia daughter of Pradeep Kumar resident of Barui, Tanvi Verma daughter of Tilak Raj resident of Barui and Surjo Devi wife of Girdhari Lal resident of Barui. A case vide FIR No. 159/2016 under section 279/337 was registered in this regard.

Truck crushes pedestrian to death
SAMBA: A truck crushed a pedestrian to death at Samba on Tuesday. As per the details, a truck (JK08A-0861) hit one passersby Kailasho Devi (70) wife of Rasal Chand resident of Sandi on NHW near Sangwali Morh (Ghagwal) resulting in injuries to her. She was rushed to Government District Hospital Samba where the doctors declared her to brought dead. Ghagwal police has registered the case in this regards.
