MAHORE: Police on Tuesday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing five bovines and arresting a smuggler.
According to a report, specific information was received at Police Post Dewal that some persons were onway along with bovines towards Kashmir via Nikkin Gali without any legal permission. On this, a police team from Police Post Dewal led by In-Charge Police Post laid a Naka at Arital and rescued five bovines from the possession of the accused person. The accused person was identified as Abdul Rashid son of Mohd Sultan resident of Gulabgarh Tehsil Mahore district Reasi and a case vide FIR No.44/2016 under section 188 RPC was registered at Poliec Station Mahore
