KATRA: Police on Wednesday seized 4.80 Kg Charas while accused manage to escape from the spot.
According to a report, ASI Krishan Chand Incharge Police Check Post Moori along with police party during checking of vehicles/passengers intercepted a car (JK02R/2577) which was coming from Jammu towards Katra.
During enquiry the driver of the vehicle disclosed his name as Vijay Kumar alias Viju son of Tej Ram resident of Thatakote Tehsil Panchari Distt Udampur. Meanwhile the driver of the said vehicle opened the door and fled away from the spot after leaving the vehicle.
During checking of vehicle Charas weighing 4.8 Kgs was recovered which was kept in bag. The recovered Charas and car were seized and a case vide FIR no. 31/2017 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Katra.
