KATRA: Police on Monday arrested two bootleggers and recovered 27 pouches of liquor from their possession at Katra.
According to a report, acting on a specific information, a police party of Police Station Katra apprehended two persons namely Sanjeev Kumar son of Madan Lal resident of Chandani Akhnoor and Deepu Verma son of Sardari Lal resident of Raja Bazar Akhnoor district Jammu and during checking, police recovered 15 pouches of J and K Excise Liquor from the possession of Sanjeev Kumar and 12 pouches of J and K Excise Liquor from the possession of Deepu Verma (Total 27 pouches) at Katra town near Durga Bhawan.
Both the accused persons have been arrested and a case vide FIR No. 139/2016 under section 48-A Excise Act, 188/RPC was registered at Police Station Katra.
