JKCA repeats body, changes at wing level

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) retained the officials holding the top posts during the Working Committee meeting held in the city this morning. However, changes have been made at the wing level. Office bearers of the central body have been repeated by the Working Committee imposing faith in the leadership of President, Minister for Sports, Imran Raza Ansari.
Mehboob Iqbal and Iqbal Ahmed Shah have also been retained as Chairman and General Secretary of the Association respectively. Sheikh Abdul Rouf has also been repeated as Treasurer of the JKCA.
In view of allegations of misappropriation of funds by the Jammu wing, the Working Committee changed both the office bearers. While Sudershan Mehta has been replaced by Des Rattan Dubey as Joint Secretary, the post of Vice Chairman shall be held by Chander Mohan of Amateur Cricket Club Udhampur relieving Rakesh Kumar of the charge. Similarly, in Kashmir wing, Jawaid Ahmed Kitab has been retained as Vice Chairman while Shuban Lal Takru has been made new Joint Secretary.
Earlier, out of a total of 64 members, 52 representatives of the affiliated clubs and institutions took part in the Working Committee meeting held at a hotel in the city.
