REASI: Police on Saturday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing 10 bovines and arresting a smuggler.
According to a report, a specific information was received at Police Station Chassana that some persons were on way along with bovines towards Kashmir without any legal permission.
On this, a police team from Police Station Chassana led by SHO Police Station Chassana laid a special Naka at Numbal Abi and rescued 10 bovines from the possession of the accused person.
The accused person has been identified as Shabir Ahmed son of Jamal Din resident of Sher Garhi Tehsil Chassana District Reasi and case vide FIR No.33/2016 under section 188 RPC was registered against him at Police Station Chassana.
