SRINAGAR: The Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar has constituted Naibat wise teams in district Srinagar, headed by a gazetted officer, to assess the damages caused to immoveable property during recent floods.
The Naibats are Nowgam, Khunmoh, Zoonimar, Harwan, Nandpora, Buchwara, Chattabal, Safakadal, Zainakote, HMT and Batmaloo, Sanat Nagar, Soura, Kothibagh, Zadibal, Khnayar, Rambagh and Gogjibagh.
The teams will work in coordination with respective Sub Divisional Magistrates/Tehsildars. The teams will accompany the representatives of local masjid, Mohalla and Bazar Committee and prepare the list of damaged properties.
Tehsildars concerned have been asked to ensure submission of list (Assami wise) as per standard format, supported by a photograph of damaged property, within six days.
According to the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Zone wise Special Task Force (STF) comprising three officers each has been constituted to oversee relief, rehabilitation initiatives taken by the Government and restoration of public utilities viz Power, Water, LPG, Fuel and Medical Supplies besides sanitation and dewatering in Srinagar district.
Accordingly, Khunmoh falls in zone A, Nowgam, Sanat Nagar falls in zone B while Buchwara, Nandwara, Harwan falls in zone C and HMT, Zainakote falls in zone D.
Similarly, Batmalloo, Chattabal, Safakadal falls in zone E, Khanyar Kothibagh falls in zone F while Zadibal, Soura, Zoonimar falls in zone G and Rambagh, Gogjibagh falls in zone H.
