Youths potent for national building: Kavinder

JAMMU: In order to strengthen the spirit of national integration, nationalism and communal harmony among the masses especially the youth, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Jammu, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports organized five-day national integration camp.
The inaugural function was celebrated at Auditorium Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu in which contingents from State of Assam, M.P, U.P, Rajasthan, Telangana, Haryana, Punjab, Jharkhand, Gujarat, H.P, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Orissa and J and K actively took part.
The programme was organised in collaboration with Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu and District Administration
On the occasion, Speaker of J&K Assembly, Kavinder Gupta was the Chief Guest, who inaugurated the camp by lighting the ceremonial lamp. MLA R.S Pura Constituency, Dr. Gagan Bhagat was the Guest of Honour, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh and Principal Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Dr. Kiran Bakshi were also graced the occasion.
Deputy Director, Sham Sunder Kashyap NYKS Jammu spoke on the aim and objectives of National Integration Program and said that India is a great nation in which there is Unity in Diversity and youth is a torch-bearer to strengthen national integration.
Guest of Honour Dr. Gagan Bhagat stressed the need of youth to abolish the social evil like Discrimination of Caste, Colour, Sex, Creed, and Religion.
The Chief Guest, Kavinder Gupta, in his address, said that youth of India has a potential to work for the nation building activities specially are democracy, socialism, secularism, sovereignty, and republic of India. He said it is a responsibility of Indian youth that country should make progress when all the youth come forward for the unity and integrity of our great India.
The culture presentation from Assam, M.P, U.P, Rajasthan, Telangana, Haryana, Punjab, Jharkhand, Gujarat, H.P, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Orissa and J and K was given enthusiastically. The youth was impressed to visit the Jammu.
On the occasion, member of Youth Club and Mahilla Mandal and volunteers from Kathua, Samba, Udhampur were present. Professor Dr Sudhanshu, Professor Devender Kaur NSS Officer of Women College Gandhi Nagar and students of PG Women College Gandhi Nagar Jammu presented the programme.
