SURANKOTE: Police on Thursday arrested a drug peddler and recovered 5 grams brown sugar from his possession.
According to a report, a party under supervision of DySP Surankote Asgar Malik laid a Naka on Fazalabad Road near Bufliaz. On seeing Naka, one person started fleeing from the spot to avoid checking, but the cops chased him and on search recovered brown sugar weighing about 5 gms from his possession. The said person disclosed his identity as Zaffer Hussain son of Talib Hussain resident of Mendhar. He was arrested and a case vide FIR No 254/17 under section 8/21/22 NDPS ACT was registered against him at Police Station Surankote.
