Workshop-cum-Training of ‘Carpe-Diem’ held at SPMR College

JAMMU: Two days workshop cum training, Carpe-Diem on the topic digital marketing was organised by Government SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu in collaboration with IIM, Calcutta.
The workshop was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr Romesh Chander. Kartik Metha, Trainer on Entrepreneurship and Digital Marketing from IIM Calcutta conducted eight sessions of training during the two programme.
Addressing the students, the principal apprised the students about the importance to participate in such activities so that they can know about the latest developments in technology and innovative practices in management and marketing.
He appreciated the efforts made by the faculty members for organising such activities for the benefit of the students. He said that such events will be organised regularly for the benefit of the students.
In the two-day programme, two rounds were conducted in which the students were made aware about digital marketing in the first round (Technical Round) and in the second round (Intra College Competition), five students have been selected who will participate in the final competition in Carpe Diem (IIM-C Event).
On the first day of the programme, the trainer focused on Digital Marketing, Profile Adaptability on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google+. Students were also made aware of various strategies used to market products on digital media in current globalised world while on the second day, the trainer focused on Idea planning and Execution in the first session and reflected in detail on Time Management and Goal Setting.
