The Bold Voice of J&K

Withdrawal of AFSPA

0 41

Dear Editor,
As voiced by some politicians that ASFA needs to be withdrawan from some areas of J and K State is a though provoking question. It needs thorough debating while keeping in view overall prevailing situation of  J and K State. Being a border state having vast border line that gets violated day in and day out. Our neighbours are hell bent to destabilise us and infilterate militants inside our territory. We have vast forest area along the Line of Control where militants get easy hide outs for dumping ammunition which later on they use it against the security forces. There are inputs that militants have managed to infilterate from various points and their movement has been watched. There are cross border violations along the LoC and our most precious lives are lost. Army sources have said that around 400 militants are waiting on launch pads along the 740 kilometers LoC. Our security forces are doing commendable work and have recovered huge arms and ammunition from militant hide outs at various places in Kashmir Valley. Militants hide outs have been found in other parts of the Valley also viz in Kupwara and Baramulla forest areas too. Terrorism has not vanished and needs appropriate action against it. The present situation demands that AFSPA should continue till normalcy is restored in the State of J and K.
