Wine shop looted on gun point in Jammu
JAMMU: Three masked men on late last evening stormed into a wine shop at Gandhi Nagar on Tuesday and decamped with cash amounting to Rs 20,000 at gun point.
According to reports three masked youths with sharp edged weapons besides a pistol, stormed into the Novelty Wine Shop, opposite Army Gate Gandhi Nagar Jammu when the salesman was in the process of closing the shop. They came on an unnumbered bike and asked the salesman Mohinder and his helper at gun point to hand over cash collection of the day. They took away entire proceeding of Rs 20,000 and disappeared.
The proprietor of the shop, Pawan Verma lodged a complaint in the Police Station Gandhi Nagar along with the CCTV camera footage.
Taking serious note of the incident on the main busy road and also in front of the army guard, the President Jammu Wine Traders Charanjit Singh has condemned the robbery.
He took up the issue with SSP Jammu Uttam Chand urging setting up of a team to trace out the culprits with the help of footage. The SSP has assured that the culprits will soon be behind the bars.
