It is so disheartening that very few people in our society understand or value the importance of services to the community at large by volunteering. Volunteering to serve the community is not only beneficial to the individuals involved, but is also essential to creating a better society for all. In today’s world, volunteering is more important than ever because it can help create a better future for all. College students in particular have a unique new opportunity to volunteer because they have more free time and resources available to them. Volunteering can help college students gain valuable skills, build meaningful relationships, and make a positive difference in their community. Serving the society is very important to help solve many problems, especially those problems that have been neglected by the government and other social programmes. Earlier people were not interested in volunteering, so they did not know much about it. On the contrary, some people want to volunteer but do not know enough about what, how and where to do it. Therefore, it is the duty of non-profit organizations to provide proper information about the work they are doing for a social cause and also clearly mention the skills required to perform a particular job while volunteering.
