NOWSHERA : The residents of village Potha held a protest against Power Development Department (PDD) for low voltage of power in their village. The villagers blocked the Nowshera – Tral Road, intercepted a PDD vehicle carrying transformer and demanded installation of transformer in their village to improve the voltage.
Immediately on receipt of information the SDM Nowshera Harbans Lal Sharma alongwith AEE PDD, AEE PHE and SHO Nowshera reached the spot. After listening to the problem of villagers he assured them that new transformer of bigger capacity will be installed in their village but the one which was stopped by them, pertains to some other place and should be released.
On the assurance of SDM the villagers lifted Dharna and the traffic resumed.
