Villagers lock school; seek transfer of 3 teachers

NOWSHERA: The villagers led by Sarpanch Kalsian Bahadur Nath and Niab Sarpanch Madan Lal locked the Government Higher Secondary School Kalsian on Monday and complained to the District Development Commissioner Rajouri against teachers misconduct towards the girl students of the school demanding immediate transfer of three teachers.
The DDC directed SDM Nowshera Harbans Lal Sharma to reach the spot along with team of officers and order an inquiry into the episode. The SDM Nowshera along with Deputy Chief Education Officer Ravinder Singh and SDPO Nowshera reached the spot and opened the locks of the school and held a meeting with the school staff and the villagers.
It was brought to the notice of SDM by the villagers that teacher Kanaya Lal wrote on the hand of a girl student, “I love you”, teacher Ajay Sharma kidnapped a former student and later married her and Physical teacher Jaspal Singh’s conduct towards girl students is not good.
As per the directions of DDC, an inquiry was ordered which will be conducted by Dy CEO Ravinder Singh and the teachers found guilty will be taken to task. Meanwhile, the Chief Education Officer Rajouri has been asked by the DDC to transfer the tainted teachers immediately.
With the prompt action on their complaint, the villagers got pacified and consequently lifted the Dharna.
