The aim of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra is to reach government schemes and benefits to those who are left behind. This journey was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Khunti in Jharkhand on 15 November. Its objective is to deliver the benefits of major government schemes to the people in a time bound manner. The objective of this Sankalp Yatra is to increase awareness among the public about the schemes of the Government of India and to bring more and more people, especially people from weaker sections, under the ambit of these programs. This Sankalp Yatra focuses on providing benefits of welfare schemes like sanitation facilities etc to the people. Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra strengthens the collaborative efforts of citizens and government to achieve inclusive development.
