VIJAYPUR: Vijaypur Kothi XI lifted Rajesh Kumar Memorial Cricket Tournament by defeating Shiv Nagar XI by 48 runs in the final played here on Sunday. The tournament was organised in the memory of Rajesh Kumar.
Batting first, Vijaypur Kothi XI scored 99 runs in ten overs which in reply Shiv Nagar XI failed to chase and bowled out on 51 runs.
In the closing ceremony, Chief Guest, Shanti Devi, Naib Sarpanch and Som Datt Verma, Mandal Pardhan distributed the trophy along with a cash prize 5100 to winner and Rs. 2100 to runner up team. Shanti Devi said that such tournaments will keep the youths physical fit and also help to avoid them from social evils.
