VIJAYPUR: Accusing sitting National Conference (NC) MLA of discriminating down trodden population in villages of Bari Brahmana, Meen Sarkar,Meen Charkan,Bari-Bodhari, former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh alleged that these areas like Meen Sarkar, Meen Charkan,Bari, Badhori have been facing under development due to negligence.
Speaking before the people in Meen Sarkar, Singh after listening to the grievances of the people, said the government has released funds for the development of the villages which include supply of adequate drinking water to the people.
However, the people were not given benefit of the schemes launched by the government forcing them to live without drinking water for over a month.
“People in these village of Meen Sarkar have to wait for over 15 day to a month to get drinking water supply,” he alleged, while maintaining that the poor people have to arrange drinking water tank from their own pockets.
He appealed to the people to give a chance to Congress so that developmental works could be taken up. He alleged that whether it is condition of roads, drinking water supply or electricity the people have been left at the mercy of God.
Those who were present in the meeting-Arjun Singh, Master Throu Ram , Gain Chand, Mansa Ram,Guatam Singh ,Retd Headmaster Som Dutt Verma ,Vinod Singh,Vikram Singh,Ashok Bhagat , Parkash Chand, Girdhari Lal and Babu Ram Bhagat.
